A level 6 character with only level 3 or 4 equipment is essentially just a level 3 or 4 character, who can't do level 3 quests.Įven if the influx of money were increased, heirlooms remain a limiting factor. An extra 5000 gold (from the two gems you typically find, if you even get secret rooms in your dungeon and have keys to spare) does not go very far in addressing the gap.Įven before the recent change, it was easy to reach a point (in a new game) where your heroes' level outpaced your ability to keep up with the upgrades they were eligible for. It's harder to pin point issues that way. There are many systems at play and we would rather tweak one system at a time than changing multiple systems simultaneously. We are constantly watching, playtesting, and observing the relative time it takes to get things done in game. Majority of players have been finding med/long champ dungeons as an extremely lucrative means to help get the funds necessary to upgrade their characters.

Especially when players are in End Game scenarios where they need to get more bodies leveled to 6.
